What is IPL?
IPL, or Impulse Light Treatment, is a skin rejuvenation procedure that uses filtered IP light to target specific problem areas or skin concerns. IPL is effective for the face and body.
There are two types of IPL treatments – hair reduction and skin rejuvenation.
IPL Hair Reduction
Working on all skin types and colours and able to target blonde, fair and new hair growth, our IPL system is effective for even the most stubborn hair growth. Our advanced system is perfect for both men and women and is pain-free and long lasting.
The areas treated include: bikini, G-string, brazilian, underarm, half leg, full leg, back leg, half arm, full arm, belly button, bottom lip, chin, back (including shoulders), chest and stomach.

IPL Skin Rejuvenation & Pigmentation
IPL skin rejuvenation is a non-surgical, non-invasive treatment to help stimulate the skin’s cellular turnover, thus generating and promoting new collagen and elastin formation. This treatment is ideal for treating skin concerns such as pigmentation and age spots.
The areas treated include: full face, decolletage and neck.
The benefits of IPL skin rejuvenation include:
- Significantly reduced appearance of blemishes, freckles, sun spots, ageing spots, melasmas and dark freckles
- Targeted removal of acne, acne scarring and rosacea

How it works
A handheld device is applied to the skin’s surface that delivers pulses of solid-state, non-flickering light to the deep layers of the skin. This targets the blood supply to the follicle preventing further hair growth. The filtered IP light is safely absorbed by the hair follicle, transforming the light to heat.
For skin rejuvenation, every IPL treatment is different and tailored to your skin. There are different modes which can be adapted to your needs. This will be discussed with you during your skin consultation.

How many treatments will I need?
We recommend a course of 6-12 treatments for hair removal. Everyone’s hair is different and will vary, but darker hair is generally a faster treatment process.
Will your IPL machine work on blonde hair?
Yes, all hair and skin types can be treated using our advanced IPL technology – including blonde hair.
